It’s the second month of 2023 and there are some beauty brands already evolving beauty with their upcoming products! Ranging from foundation to skincare, affordable to expensive, these products are taking the beauty industry by storm encouraging the self-care routine to revive that soft feminine energy. 

Lancome’s Teint Idole Ultra Wear Care & Glow Serum Foundation creates that healthy glow all day long while protecting your skin with SPF 27. This foundation speaks to those thirsty to taking care of the face behind the makeup! Hyaluronic and Mandelic Acid hydrates and plumps the skin while improving acne or uneven skin. It has buildable, medium coverage that comes in 30 transfer-resistant shades to welcome even the most “awkward” complexion. 

Tarte Cosmetics have created two products meant to take over in the beauty world. The Maracuja Juicy Lip and Cheek Shift is the ultimate multi-tasker! It is kind of a mood changer but in makeup. This product works with your natural pH balance to emanate the perfect pink shade for your skin! You can use this on the lips or cheeks, and it is pigmented subtly. Let’s not forget it is infused with invigorating ingredients like maracuja oil, grapeseed oil, and goji to promote anti-aging, hydration, improved elasticity. For those looking for highly pigmented contour, the sculp tape contour wand is for you! It comes in 5 shades of each shade region (25 total shades) and has an easy sponge applicator for precise application. I recommend also getting the sculpt tape brush to blend after application to blur your contour! The contour is also infused with shea butter, licorice root, and diamond powder to blur imperfections and moisturize skin. I love that Tarte cosmetics promote cleaner products with no parabens, sulfate, or mineral oils. Puffiness under the eyes is inevitable when we are busy with our careers and personal lives. 

Tinted just came out with a Superhue brightening eye cream that will get the job done instantly and over time. Niacinamide, Caffeine, and Vitamin C compose this beautiful gift to under eye circles and puffiness that also boosts collagen production. It brightens the dark circles immediately. I recommend this product personally because it helps with my puffiness that was caused by the inflammation in my body. It identifies with “clean beauty” for sensitive skin loves. 

When needing to remove makeup without having to rinse when in a hurry, Dore La Micellaire botanical cleansing water does the trick. Its fragrance-free (sensitive skin) and formulated with antioxidants to remove all dirt while soothing irritated, tired skin. Aloe Vera is a key ingredient in this hydrating micellar water. Even though I am biased because I love their products, I recommend you transition to Ordinary products because they have serum, peels, and cleansers for every skin type. It truly works! 

Mented Cosmetics is a black-owned cosmetic line who represent vegan beauty and makeup for women of color. Their new Full Time brightening concealer is a triple threat due to its ability to brighten under eyes, conceals imperfections, and can be used as a contour! It is a lightweight product that applies as if makeup could float, not to mention being infused with Hyaluronic Acid and Grapeseed oil which are vital to hydration and brightening skin. The highlight effect from this concealer does not settle in eyes to create creases and doesn’t dry out. 

 Clinique just came out with a brightening lotion for those struggling with hyperpigmentation. It comes from their Even Better collection. It is a “watery” essence lotion that hydrates and evens skin tone while gently exfoliating. It reduces any redness that can occur in the skin and can increase overall skin hydration. The gyokuro green tea infused has anti-inflammatory properties to get rid of irritation while brightening with Vitamin C to present a glow. 

 Yves Saint Laurent has a new fragrance out that I got a chance to sample called Libre. This bold floral fragrance has notes of saffron accord, lavender, and orange blossom creating that sultry experience that will make every head turn! This perfume has a spicy, warm twist to the floral notes I usually love. You can sense the fire (figurative) igniting around you as you apply this fragrant magnificence. Its an alter ego to your normal perfume.
